Evan Cole is a 16-year-old singer, musician, songwriter and busker from St. Louis, Missouri. He is best known for his engaging voice and earnest, “soulful pop” cover songs. Evan first became interested in singing at a young age and spent many years performing on stage in musical theater productions and ensemble groups. He developed his unique, soulful pop sound by learning and studying his idols: Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding, Dobey Grey, Elton John, Billy Joel, Gavin Degraw and John Legend. He began busking on street corners at the age of twelve and can be seen performing often on the streets before and after St. Louis Cardinal baseball games as well as at local and out of town venues, festivals and charity events. He plays piano by ear and plays guitar, drums and harmonica. He appeared on the final season of American Idol in 2016 as the youngest contestant to make it to Hollywood. He will be releasing his first EP in early 2017.
